Following the independence of Namibia in 1990, our founding members, Kathleen Tobias and the late Jeremiah Tobias, carried the belief that they as previously disadvantaged professionals, should profoundly contribute and participate in the economic and social development of a newly independent Namibia.

Jeremiah Tobias: A forward thinking strategist and academic entrepreneur. Before venturing into the private sector, he was instrumental in the restructuring of various state-owned enterprises and key national institutions, as well as the founder of the Namibian Institute of Personnel Management.  

Kathleen Tobias: An accomplished businesswoman, philanthropist and has won numerous business accolades in her community. The Tobias family’s first venture into business saw them establish a successful plastics manufacturing company in Namibia, which exported to neighbouring SADC countries. In time they ventured into various other industries such as trading of petroleum products, energy, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, construction and real estate. 

Thus, our founding core values and principles at Tobico Holdings are that of inclusivity, social justice, integrity and economic participation for not only all Namibians, but Africans everywhere.
